After deploying the NSX-T manager in my lab (I have a project coming up which will require me to automate some of the NSX-T configuration) I found that appliance had not installed properly. The services were not started correctly, no web UI and errors in the console about not setting the password for the admin and root account.

It was my fault, I thought I had used a suitably complex password but when I logged in using the default username and password and tried to set it myself, I was informed that it was not complex enough! So, wise words follow – READ THE INSTRUCTIONS ON THE SCREEN! The OVA import wizard will let you proceed regardless.
